HAZEMAG attended the Conagg/CONEXPO show in Las Vegas in March, 2023. 139,000 professionals were in attendance, with over 2,400 exhibitors, making it the largest trade show in North America. Organized by HAZEMAG USA (HUSA), it was a very successful show.
HUSA enjoyed hosting many of our international colleagues from Germany and the UK, including our very own Marcus Heinrich, CEO. It was a pleasure to reconnect with our old friends and to work on driving our mutual business.
We had a large, open exhibition space that drew in many customers. We proudly displayed our HPI-H 1515 impact crusher and exhibited its powered and operating HAZTRONIC unit. This drew much attention as we were able to actively demonstrate the motion of the crusher aprons and the corresponding live sensor data from the crusher system. We are very proud that this crusher was sold shortly before the show, demonstrating the strength of this product in our market.
We obtained dozens of leads from the show, hailing from many diverse industries including gravel, sand, crushed stone, cement, gypsum, among many others. We received inquiries across all our product lines, and generated many opportunities for service.
The show was also a terrific place to reconnect with our valuable representatives, and to develop relationships with potential new ones. We had discussions with three potential new representatives, and are excited to have successfully signed up one of them for the important north western part of the USA.
Our major industry group, the National Stone Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA), held its annual convention in the two days before the CONEXPO officially opened. We are proud supporters of this association and attended the annual meeting to contribute to our industry and network with our industry and customer peers.
The last CONEXPO was shut down a day early due to COVID. It was wonderful to see the show return in full strength and to feel the excitement and optimism in our industry. We had an energizing and successful time, and are already looking forward to the next one.
